Spot Treatments

A spot treatment is applied only to the area that needs attention. That way a spot gets a concentrated treatment without drying out the rest of your skin. There are also targeted products for the dark marks a spot can leave behind. In this collection you’ll find drying lotions, gels and creams for targeted care.

Spot treatments: target spots precisely

Types of spot treatments

  • Drying lotions: a liquid with a sediment that you dab on with a cotton bud and leave to dry, such as the Anti-Pimple Drying Lotion by Revuele, the Dryzit Dry Lotion by Acnemy and the Salicylic Acid 2% Drying Lotion by Carbon Theory.
  • Gels and creams: less visible, so you can wear them during the day too, like the COSRX Centella Blemish Cream, the Sulfur 3% Clean Gel by By Wishtrend and the CeraVe Blemish Control Gel.
  • Marks after a spot: products such as the PIH Sun Spot Fading Treatment by Transparent Lab help make pigmentation marks less visible.

How to use a spot treatment

Cleanse your skin, apply your toner and serum, and only then put the spot treatment on the blemish. A drying lotion is best used in the evening as the final step. Trying not to touch it? A pimple patch protects the spot and keeps your fingers away. Actives such as salicylic acid and niacinamide are also found in broader anti-blemish serums.
