Powder blush is buildable and forgiving. Take too much and you simply blend it out with a clean brush. On oily or combination skin, powder is the logical choice as well: it takes away excess shine instead of adding another layer on top of it. Set over a cream base, powder blush also keeps your look in place for longer.
How do you apply powder blush?
Use a soft, rounded blush brush. Sweep it lightly over the pan, tap off the loose powder and work in small, circular motions from the apples of your cheeks towards your temples. Start with less than you think you need and build up from there. Want it to last even longer? Put a thin layer of cream blush underneath first and dab the powder on top of it.
Which powder blush suits you?
On fair skin, soft pink and peach tones come out best; on deeper skin a strongly pigmented coral, berry or burgundy does more.
